Himel Service Award

The Edward J. and Anna B. Himel Memorial Award for Distinguished Service

In 1993 the Lafourche Heritage Society established the Edward J. Himel Memorial Award which is presented annually to a member of Lafourche Heritage Society in recognition of outstanding service in the preservation of the history and culture of the Bayou Lafourche area.
Following the death of Anna B. Himel in 1998, the Society changed the name of the award to the Edward J. and Anna B. Himel Memorial Award.
